Commissions
Send us the picture.
We will tell you how it is made.
People send us a photograph of a stone piece and ask whether we can make it. The answer is almost always yes. The useful part of the answer is how — carved from one block, folded from a mitred slab, or stacked from waterjet segments around a hidden core. That decision sets the price, the lead time, and which stone will survive it.
How to read this page
Every piece here is drawn,
not photographed.
That is deliberate. A catalogue of commissions is a list of what we can make, and if we filled it with finished pieces lifted off the internet we would be showing you somebody else's work with our name under it. So each commission is a drawing and a construction method. Where we have already built the piece, our own photograph of our own job sits on that page, clearly marked.
- Drawn, not borrowed
- Built in our own workshop
- Egyptian marble & granite
- Waterjet, five-axis CNC and hand finishing
- Priced from your drawing or ours
Basins, vanities & baths
Where stone is wet, seen close up and touched every day.
Helix washstand
A stack of stone discs turning around a hidden core.
Monolithic vanity, basin carved in
One block. The basin is not fitted to it, it is taken out of it.
Mitred waterfall vanity
Twenty millimetres of stone that reads as two hundred.
Vessel basin, turned from block
A bowl with a wall you can see light through.
Solid stone bath
The heaviest thing that will ever go into the room.
Tables, consoles & seating
Loose furniture in solid stone, built to be moved once.
Dining table on a stone base
A top that spans, on a base that does not apologise for its size.
Block side and coffee tables
Offcuts, which is the only reason these are affordable.
Bench, plinth & seat
For a hall, a hammam, a pool edge or a garden that stays out all year.
Bar & reception counter
The one piece in a commercial fit-out everybody leans on.
Architectural stonework
Pieces that are part of the building rather than in it.
Inlay borders & floor medallions
Greek key, rosettes, compass roses and your own drawing.
Columns, bases & capitals
Turned drums, moulded plinths, and cladding that reads as solid.
Fireplace surround
The one piece in the room everyone faces.
Stair treads & helical stringers
Including the ones that curve, which is a different job entirely.
Book-matched & quad-matched panels
Consecutive slabs opened like a book so the vein mirrors.
Light, water & the decorative
Translucent stone, running water, and work cut for pattern.
Backlit onyx & agate panels
The stone stops being a surface and becomes the light.
Fountains, water walls & basins
Running water on stone, done so it still looks right in year five.
Planters, urns & garden pieces
For a courtyard that has to look the same in ten years.
Lettering, plaques & house numbers
Incised, raised, gilded or inlaid in a contrasting stone.
The honest part
What we will talk you out of.
Marble bowls in a children's bathroom. Polished treads by a pool. A carved bath on a first floor we have not surveyed. Onyx on a bar. A book-match decided after the block has been cut. We would rather lose the line than build something that looks wrong in a year.
