Furniture Manufacturing & Sourcing

We run our own furniture workshop, which means the bed, the wardrobes, the desk and the internal doors of the same villa are cut, jointed, sprayed and delivered by one team on one programme. Where a client wants a particular brand rather than something made for them, we source and import it instead — and we tell you plainly which of the two we are doing on which line of the quotation.

Scope of works

What we actually do.

Everything below happens inside our business — no subcontracted links in the chain.

  1. 01

    Solid beech & oak frames

Kiln-dried beech and oak at 8 to 10 percent moisture content, jointed with dowels and mortise-and-tenon rather than staples, for bed frames, carved headboards, dining tables, chairs and anything that takes load. Carving is done in-house, by hand and on the CNC depending on the pattern.

  2. 02

    Carcasses, veneer & lacquer

MDF and blockboard carcasses cut on a beam saw and edge-banded, natural veneer pressed in-house and sequence-matched across a run, then sprayed in the booth — stain, sealer and three to five coats of PU lacquer at the sheen you chose from a sample, not a swatch card.

  3. 03

    Upholstery

Frames sprung and webbed in the workshop, foam specified by density rather than by feel, and fabric or leather you select applied to headboards, beds, benches, dining chairs, ottomans and built-in seating. Loose covers where a chalet needs washing rather than cleaning.

  4. 04

Made-to-measure wardrobes, dressing rooms & doors

Louvred, panelled and flush wardrobe doors, walk-in dressing rooms, and internal doors with matching architrave and skirting made as a set, so every door in the villa has the same grain direction and the same colour under the same light.

  5. 05

    Whole-house packages & brand sourcing

A complete villa or chalet furnished in one mobilisation — bedrooms, dressing rooms, media walls, dining, office and doors batch-manufactured together and installed in a single visit. Where you want specific brands, we source, import, clear and install them under the same contract.

Selection

What comes out of the workshop

  • Beds & carved headboardsSolid beech

Carved, turned or upholstered headboards on solid frames built to your mattress size, with matching bedsides and dressers rather than a bought set that nearly matches.

  • Louvred & panelled wardrobesMade to measure

Louvred doors for ventilation in humid coastal units, panelled or flush where the room wants calm. Built to the actual ceiling height, scribed to walls that are never square.

  • Desks & home officesOak & veneer

Pedestal and floating desks with cable management, drawer boxes on soft-close runners and a lacquered top that survives a laptop and a coffee cup for a decade.

  • Internal doorsMatched sets

Every door in the house made in one batch from one veneer bundle, with matching frames, architraves and skirting. This is the detail that separates a finished villa from a furnished one.

  • Whole-villa packageOne mobilisation

The entire furniture schedule manufactured together and installed in a single visit, which for a chalet before the season is the difference between opening on time and living around a delivery.

  • Sourced & imported piecesBrands

Where a client wants a named brand, we quote it as a sourced item, handle the import and clearance, and install it alongside what we made. No pretending a bought piece was manufactured.

Questions we get asked

Furniture Manufacturing — questions we get asked

Do you actually manufacture, or do you just import?
Both, and we separate them on the quotation. Beds, wardrobes, desks, doors and fitted joinery are made in our own workshop — cut, jointed, veneered, sprayed and upholstered on our own lines. Sofas from a named brand, or a specific imported dining set, we source, ship and clear for you. What we will not do is buy a piece in and describe it as ours.
Beech, oak or MDF — what should I be asking for?
Solid beech or oak for anything structural or carved: bed frames, chairs, table bases, mouldings. MDF or blockboard with veneer or lacquer for flat panels — doors, carcasses, wardrobe fronts — because a wide solid panel moves with humidity and a well-made engineered one does not. A good piece of furniture is usually both, used where each belongs.
Can you build from a photograph of something I like?
Yes, within reason. We take the reference, produce shop drawings with real dimensions and a costed specification, and tell you where the proportions will not work in your room or where a detail will not survive Egyptian humidity. We interpret a look faithfully; we do not clone a protected design outright.
Can you furnish an entire villa or chalet at once?
That is most of what the workshop does. Sign the drawings and we batch-manufacture the whole schedule together — bedrooms, dressing rooms, doors, media walls, dining and office — then deliver and install in one mobilisation. It is faster, the finishes match because they were sprayed in the same runs, and you live through one installation instead of six.
How does furniture survive a chalet that is shut for months?
Moisture-resistant board in the carcasses, sealed edges rather than raw ones, marine-grade or coated hardware, louvred wardrobe doors so the interiors breathe, and loose covers on upholstery that can be washed. Most chalet furniture failures are swollen edges and seized runners, and both come from cheap board left unsealed at a cut edge.
