Bathrooms

Bathrooms are won and lost behind the tiles. We strip back, waterproof properly, set the falls, then dress the room in stone, glass and joinery we made ourselves — so the beautiful part is sitting on work that will not leak into the flat below in year three.

Scope of works

What we actually do.

Everything below happens inside our business — no subcontracted links in the chain.

  1. 01

    Waterproofing & substrate

Full-tank cementitious or liquid membrane systems, bonded upstands, correct falls to gully, and a flood test we document with photographs before a single tile is laid.

  2. 02

    Stone & large-format tiling

Book-matched marble walls, 120×280 cm porcelain slabs with minimal joints, mitred internal corners and continuous-vein shower niches.

  3. 03

    Vanities & joinery

Wall-hung vanity units in lacquer or veneer, made in our workshop with solid-surface, marble or quartz tops and undermount or integrated basins.

  4. 04

    Showers & glazing

Frameless 10 mm toughened glass screens, walk-in wet rooms, linear drains, concealed thermostatic mixers and rain heads.

  5. 05

    Sanitaryware & brassware

Supply and install of European and premium regional brands — wall-hung WCs with concealed cisterns, freestanding baths, jacuzzi and steam units.

  6. 06

    Heating, extract & lighting

Underfloor heating mats, silent extract, demisting mirrors, IP-rated niche and cove lighting, all coordinated with our electrical team.

Questions we get asked

Bathrooms — questions we get asked

How long does a bathroom renovation take?
Four to eight weeks per bathroom for a full strip-out and rebuild. Waterproofing and the flood test alone need several days that cannot be compressed, and stone fabrication runs in parallel. If you are doing several bathrooms we sequence them so the house is never entirely without one.
Can you renovate a bathroom without breaking the whole floor?
Sometimes. If the existing waterproofing is sound and the levels work, we can overlay and keep the drainage positions. But we will open an inspection area first and show you what is under there. Tiling over a failed membrane is the single most common shortcut in the Egyptian market and it always comes back.
Do you handle plumbing and electrical too?
Yes — first-fix and second-fix plumbing, concealed cisterns and mixers, extract ducting, underfloor heating and all IP-rated lighting are done by our own MEP team. That is the point of a turnkey contract: no gap between trades where responsibility disappears.
What stone works best in a shower?
Dense marbles and porcelain slabs both work if detailed correctly. We avoid highly porous travertine on shower floors, keep joints minimal, mitre the corners so no edge is exposed, and seal everything. On a floor we would rather give you a honed or textured finish than a polished one — polished stone plus water plus bare feet is a bad combination.
