Alexandria

Alexandria is home. Our head office is in El Ibrahimya and our showrooms are in El Deresa, and this is the city we know building by building — beautiful old apartments with tired services, and seafront towers that take a beating from the sea. Most of what we do here is renovation rather than new finishing: opening things up carefully, upgrading what is behind the walls, and working politely inside occupied buildings.

We work across San Stefano, Roushdy, Gleem, Smouha, Louran, Sidi Bishr, Stanley, Kafr Abdo and the Corniche towers, plus the villas and compounds on the Alexandria–Matrouh road. Apartments, duplexes, penthouses, standalone villas and holiday units.

The recurring Alexandria problem is what sits behind the finishes: aluminium wiring, undersized boards, corroded plumbing and windows that lost their seal a decade ago. We open, test and report before we quote a finish, because putting new marble over old services is money spent twice.

Do you work on occupied apartment buildings?
Routinely. We agree working hours with the building, book the lift, sheet and protect the stairs and lobby, contain dust at the door and clean down daily. Neighbours are part of the programme, not an obstacle to it — a building that is happy with your contractor is a building that does not stop your job.
Why do Alexandria apartments need rewiring so often?
A lot of stock was wired with aluminium conductors, sized for a household that had no air conditioning, no induction hob and no EV, then extended piecemeal for forty years. Add coastal humidity at the terminations and you get heat and failures. We test first and report honestly — sometimes a board upgrade is genuinely enough.
Can you renovate a seafront flat that gets salt spray?
Yes, with the envelope specified for it: seaside-class coated aluminium, stainless hardware, drained and vented frames, and marine-grade fixings throughout. Interior joinery goes on moisture-hardened cores. The mistake is to use standard Cairo specification a hundred metres from the water.
Do you keep original features?
Where they are worth keeping, absolutely. Cornices, panelled doors, terrazzo and old marble can often be restored for less than replacing them and they are the reason those apartments are desirable. We will show you the honest comparison — restore versus replace — with costs for both.
Are you based in Alexandria?
Yes — our head office is in El Ibrahimya and our showrooms are in El Deresa. Alexandria is our home city, which is why we can survey quickly, work around occupied buildings properly and still be reachable once the job is finished. Stone and joinery are fabricated in our own workshops and delivered complete, then fitted by our own installers.
