The stone
About Ghiandone Aswan.
Ghiandone describes the texture: big feldspar crystals set like acorns in a finer matrix. In the Aswan bed those crystals come through pink against grey, and at slab scale the effect is unmistakable — it is the most texturally distinctive granite Egypt produces.
