The stone
About Breccia Fawakhir.
Quarried in Wadi Fawakhir on the old road between the Nile and the Red Sea. It is a tectonic breccia — angular fragments welded under pressure — so it takes a granite polish while reading like a breccia. Hard, unpredictable, and never the same slab twice.
