The stone
About Aswan Red.
The obelisks in Rome, Paris and Istanbul were cut from this bed. Aswan Red is a coarse-grained granite of deep red-pink feldspar with black and translucent grey grains, hard, dense and effectively permanent. It is the material we ship most often for external paving, kerbs and monumental work.
