The stone
About Khatmeya.
Khatmeya sits between a beige and a true yellow: a warm pearly ground carrying pale gold clouding and the occasional thin brown seam. It has been worked out of the Eastern Desert for decades and is one of the few Egyptian yellows that comes out of the block consistently enough to specify for a whole floor rather than a feature panel. Honed, it loses the shine and reads almost like a limestone.
